YACOB
Yet Another CPU Overclocking Benchmark

YACOB is a free assembly of different CPU benchmarks to measure the performance of your setup under realistic conditions. It is using 7zip, Appleseed, Ffmpeg and a prime calculation to give you various results.

Just try it out! Or scroll down to learn more about YACOB.

Easy comparison with other results

It's that easy: run benchmark, save the results, overclock, run benchmark, compare the results.

Of course you can also share your results with your friends!

What you should know

YACOB is pretty easy to use, but you should know some important things before judging your results.

All scores are independent!
Don't think "oh, my CPU is good at compressing, but very bad at rendering a 3d image!", please. All scores (even the Single- and Multi-Threading ones) are independent. This is the way how YACOB works, e.g. the Appleseed benchmark uses different resolutions to render (for Single- and Multi-Threading), to keep the benchmark as short and precise as possible.

Close other programs before starting the benchmark.
This should be clear, but please, do it to get satisfying and precise results. Also, give your system some time to completely boot up.

YACOB needs time to do the benchmarks.
A mid-tier CPU will run the full benchmark in about 5 minutes. Please be patient!

"7zip compress" benchmark:
Maybe this score is not scaling with your overclock. That's because your memory could be bottlenecking your compressing speed, which is pretty common and not a problem. If your score is fluctuating a lot, this can be an indicator that something is wrong with your memory setup, especially if you are using RAM sticks with different capacities. You should look up how to set up dual-channel memory correctly.
